Thrill to see Red Tailed Hawks soar at eye level, enjoy the antics of the Bananaquits, marvel at the iridescent beauty of the Puerto Rican Emerald Hummingbird or the brilliant red and green of the Puerto Rican Tody. The small Coqui tree frog will serenade your evenings and perhaps you will hear the trill of the Puerto Rican Screech Owl. San Juan

San Juan, with it’s historic center and international airport, is a little more than an hour away. San Juan is the capital and most populous city (about 500,000 residents) in Puerto Rico. Founded in 1521 by Juan Ponce de León, who named it City of Puerto Rico (“Rich Port”). The capital of Puerto Rico is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction. (St. Augustine, Florida, founded in 1565 is the oldest city in the continental United States.) With wonderful museums, historic architecture, casinos, beaches, cultural festivals, fine dining and shopping and international banking opportunites, you will find San Juan to be a convenient and wonderful asset.
